Sole non-Egyptian player Georgina Kennedy is first up as she takes on teenage sensation Farida Mohamed. Both players produced impressive upsets in round two and will be desperate to reach their first Gold quarter finals.
The rest of the quarter final matches are all Egyptian battles. Starting with last year’s runner up Hania El Hammamy and No.8 seed Rowan Elaraby.
Making her return to the tour after 15 months following her pregnancy is Nour El Tayeb. After her round two win over Hana Ramadan, El Tayeb now has the daunting task of facing World No.1 Nour El Sherbini, who looked in sensational form as she defeated Nele Gilis of Belgium in the last round.
The final match of the day will be between No.6 seed Salma Hany and recent US Open champion Nouran Gohar.
